MEET JACOB

HOUSE DISTRICT 28
BLUE-COLLAR LEADERSHIP
FIGHTING FOR OREGONIANS

Jacob grew up in Aloha, Oregon to a single mother. He has built life-long connections to our community ever since he began school at Hazeldale Elementary School. Jacob grew up during the financial crisis of 2007 which made him gain an appreciation for his fellow Oregonians. When the bills piled up, it was the American community that helped his family persevere. This was through big assistance programs like unemployment benefits when his mother was forced to work part-time.

When Jacob graduated Aloha High School, he felt a deep need to give back to the community that gave his family and him so much. This is when Jacob made the decision to enlist in the Army National Guard. He has served 6 years and is continuing to serve!

After enlisting, it became apparent that Jacob would need to gain further education to better serve us. On top of his military trainings, he worked full-time at both Amazon.com and Costco as a blue-collar warehouse worker. This afforded him the opportunity to pay his way through community college.

Later, George Washington University would recognize his drive and took him on as a scholar. Jacob finished his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2019. He will finish his Master of Professional Studies in Political Management this Summer.

Now that Jacob has worked tirelessly to gain his education and experience, he is running for State Representative. This is because Jacob is inspired by the activism in our community and wants to help make it a better place.
